We made it to Greece after a whirlwind trip throug

We made it to Greece after a whirlwind trip through the Paris airport. 🤪❤️
Yesterday was Greece Day Two:
Thank you for praying. We both sacked out last night and felt good today.
We just experienced so much. Breakfast on the roof of our hotel, visited Mars Hill and read Acts 17 with the Greek Bible College professor, the Acropolis, the Museum of the Acropolis, a foodie tour complete with cheeses, meats, nuts, figs, Turkish delight….

We ate “lunch” at 3pm and were stuffed.
LexieBeth ran 6 miles with the faster set of runners and felt good. That’s a huge praise because she’s been fighting an injury for about 3 weeks and her legs bugged her a lot of yesterday during travel. Lots of people praying is a gift. She ran as the sun set over the Acropolis. Stunning.

Tonight LB and I joined a very small group that walked the red light district (here they are white) and saw 40ish active brothels. It was devastating in so many ways. Lex just said, “That was just hard and so sad.” The doors were open and we saw girls, men visiting, and saw in the dark what active, legal prostitution brings.
Darkness. It is just so dark.

We rounded out the night with ice cream and the runners meeting where LB got her racing singlet.

I can’t begin to tell you how much we need and value your prayers. ❤️❤️❤️

Headed to Greece with LexieBeth to meet up with my

Headed to Greece with LexieBeth to meet up with my @liveglobalorg teammates to host a group of runners. These marathoners are raising money and running the original marathon route to help offset the cost of a safe house for women sex trafficked in Athens. We are calling the endeavor, @racefornewlife in cooperation with an incredible national partner. We are ready for our hands and feet to serve like Jesus.

This is LB’s first trip out of the country and it’s a long one. 11 days. She will be running the Athens 10K on Saturday evening. We are excited, and would love to have your prayers. ❤️ We love you people at home and would love it if you’d pray for them, too.

The unexpected yes in this season has been cheerleading.

To be honest, I’ve always wanted to coach, or at least assist, but who has the time for that when you have four kids, write books, and serve the Lord globally.

❤️Ironically, the new Varsity coach is one of *my* girls. I’ve known Ashley for years and when she stepped up, so did I.

❤️My heart for these girls is large. I want them to know the truth about themselves. They are LOVED. Wildly loved by us and Jesus.
📣✏️ In a season where I’m writing a book for teens with my girl, @shannonpopkin, this fresh reminder of how hard it is to be a girl is SO timely.
❤️My yeses are so important, but so are yours. This generation needs us to love them right where they are and tell them the truth. About themselves and Jesus. ❤️🎉

Wicked hard course, great racing.
Today was gritty work. Hills, steep downhills, twists and turns.
They both finished strong. I just keep thinking that this the way I always want them to run ❤️ Persevering and strong.
